I got my book and I have mixed feelings. My tracking number said for a number of days that my subscription box couldn't be found so I reached out to the company only to be told that they'd given me the wrong tracking number. The company provided me with the correct one. My order then came in an Amazon Prime box. I didn't realize it was my book subscription until I opened it and saw the gift receipt and the return slip (I'm guessing that's what it is). There wasn't a note or anything from the subscription company just a hardcover fantasy book which might be self-published. It's currently on sale on Amazon and both the hardcover and the paperback are cheaper than the price of the subscription box.
I have nothing against self-published books and will read it, but this is my first impressions of the subscription box, company included, and at this time I don't think it's for me. Maybe in the future I'll resubscribe, but I won't be renewing next month.
The book I got was Eulogy of the Dawn by Jeramy Goble.

The book chosen is okay; not the best fantasy pick, but I'm not upset. It was a cute read. The main issue I had was that it came via Amazon as a gift; I had no idea it was my subscription. I do think maybe putting a message in the note that this was a subscription would have been helpful. Overall, it's a great experience for a newer fantasy reader.
